Retired from Mobile's service in March 1999. As a result
of excellent services and records in Mobile, MPNU decided
to retain my services for an extra year, on contract,
for consultancy basis. Managing a private maritime consultation
business.

MOBILE PRODUCING NIGERIA, QUA IBOE TERMINAL, IBENO,
MOORING MARSTER TO SUPRINTENDENT MOORING OPERATIONS.
Joined Mobile Producing Nigeria Unlimited as a Mooring
Master. The main duties were berthing and loading of
VLCC crude oil tankers from the single point mooring
loading berths (SPMs), procurement of materials and
spare parts, supervision of the line handling and SPM
maintenance boats and the crew.
The terminal aspect of the job involved working in
conjunction with the Terminal Operations to ensure the
exportation of crude oil and condensate are exported
in consonance with the government regulations.
Responsibilities also included the terminal marine
duties, marine safety, ship inspections, ports statistics,
coordination of export documents and stemming of tankers
with our Mobile Sales and Transportation group for sales
of our products. Others are the environmental and anti
pollution protection awareness. Provide management with
professional advice and recommendations on marine related
issues.
FEBRUARY 1969 TO MAY 1985:

3RD NAVIGATING OFFICER TO MASTER.
Employed as a 3rd Navigating officer on board a vessel
in Nigerline Fleet of ships. Served in various officer's
capacities on board different classes of ocean going
vessels, rising through the ranks of 2nd officer, chief
officers and finally as ship's Captain until May 1985
when I took up a shore appointment with Mobile.
